We're excited for our first Rwandan coffee of the season! This is the 4th year we're serving coffees from Mahembe & the 2nd year the cherries have come directly from producer Justin Musabyimana's own family farm Gituntu.
The “CLASSIC” way to process Rwandan coffee for generations has been the fully washed method. Cherries are pulped & dry fermented overnight before being rinsed with clean spring water. The coffees are then dried on raised African beds for at least 2 weeks.
Rwandan farmers grow strictly Red Bourbons & it amazes us that we're able to enjoy a spectrum of flavours from a single cultivar across the entire origin. We hope you'll enjoy this beautiful coffee as much as we do!
